Osor is an interesting destination for day trippers, not only
because of the beauty of the town, viewing its sights and antiquities, two
museums, of the Osor Music Evenings and galleries, but more and more frequently
also because of its excellent gastronomic offer. Osor satisifies the needs of
young passers-by on the terrace Fast Food Pinky. In the coolness of pinewood
with the view to the sea, the terrace "Bijar" offers lunches and dinners. Dishes
are offered as the offer of the day, but can be ordered also a la carte. Prices
are competitive. The garden restaurant "Osor" under the pergola of white grapes
offers various specialties for a more demanding audience. The traditional
restaurant "Nonina kuhinja" (Grandma's Kitchen) is situated in the vicinity of
the town wall and offers to its guests original dishes and drinks, traditional
for the islands of Cres and Lošinj.

| Osor's garden sculptures
«Sculpture and Music» - A row of bronze sculptures based on the theme of music.
The sculptures are laid during that period of the year when Osor's Musical
Evenings are held, enriching Osor with the works of important Croatian
sculptors. Thus, the idea was born to place a row of statues with reproductions
from the most famous Croatian sculptors such as Ivan Meštrović, Fran
Kršinić,Vanje Radauš, Ivan Rosandić and Belizar Bahorić, creating a unique
sculpture line, as well as original works of Marija Ujević dedicated to the
musician Jakov Gotovac. |
